1974 Boot/Hatch lid

Hi at some point I will need a replacement rear lid for my Renault 4- does anyone have one in UK ?
Clementine- if no one here has one is that something that George @ Whitehouse would have ? He would be high I feel though since a Renault main dealer.

I think Renault can still supply the tailgate. Most secondhand tailgates will have rust in the seam at the bottom (or at least most of mine do).

Same here at the bottom-- however it really is the worst part of my Renault.

Sounds like you have a good Renault there. It's possible to repair the lower flange, but it's a bit fiddly. I'll be using up my supply of one good original tailgate on my project, but it took 8 cars for me to find it. A new one would be much less risky if you can get it.

Just a thought if you buy a new one direct from renault (IF they have one) wont it have the wrong hinges ie bolt on and also holes for reverse lights
spoiling the cars originality
or is a renault 4 so rare now that no one would notice?
