1974 R1126 driveshaft gaiters

hi everyone,

I need to fit two new outer driveshaft gaiters to my renault 4 r1126. It's 1974 and LHD.

I've been on Der Franzose and there's a few of different sizes listed. I'm looking for some guidance on which ones to use, or go for a universal type?

The internal diameters on the ones on the car are approximately 22mm and 74mm at each end.

Any ideas? Many thanks

Those are the standard outer gaiter size ,there should not be a lot of choice for that drive shaft,but you will need a special tool to fit it.Or take it to you friendly garage.

Thanks for the advice - I managed to find two "old stock" gaiters, but they were difficult to fit.

After much swearing, they are on.......

Hang on a minute surely when you removed shafts to fit gaiters you noticed that no oil escaped from gearbox ☺
