I haven't driven a Renault 4 for 25 years, my dad and sister had them. I was a huge fan of the Renault 16TX and had several of these. I have alway liked the Renaults of the 70's and 80's in the past I have had Renault 10, 11, 12 (x3), 16 (x3), 18, 20(x2), 25(x4), Safrane and Laguna. I would love to have a project restoring an old one and have just been offered a 1979 Renault 4 for 1100 euro and thinking about buying as a project for the summer months. The problem is it appears to be in very good condition and comes with a two year MOT (MOT's are every two years in France), too good for a project.
If anyone is interested in this car please contact me for more details. I don't know much about the car as we have been covered in snow for the last couple of weeks and haven't been able to get underneath and have a good look. The car is in northern France, 2.5 hours south of the ferry port of Caen and LHD French Registered.
Please contact me for details and I will ask the French person selling it.
