Hello

I have an oil leak that appears to come from the holes circled red at the fuel pump. I suspect the pump is not the original. Can the original pump still be sourced?

Any help is much appreciated.

Gut feeling says there shouldn't be possible to have an oil leak from the fuel pump vent hole.
If engine have a lot of crankcase breathing, then maybe oil can follow the airstream from crankcase and out.
Bit of a mysteri. Looking forward for solution.

If pictures are taken from above then the fuel pump is mounted upside down.
If so all oil that should go back into the crankcase seeps out in the vent hole.

There was a type of fuel pump that was upside down and oil leaking from that hole was a common problem with them.

I think any 1108cc fuel pump will work as a replacement. But the more normal ones have a plastic spacer between the pump and the block that you would need as well. Might be the same spacer you have and might not

Maybe Der Franzose or Melun Retro Passion can help

On my 1985 Fasa the fuel pump is as in photo but with plastic spacer, if your alternator is in the same position as my photo the upward facing fuel pumps will not fit as they will clash with alternator position, from info/photos from various threads etc.its a Fasa thing, have read that this alternator position + cast bracket ( the only difference that requires downward pump orientation) was used on 5’s of same era, could help expand on parts supply lists for relevant plastic spacer. This alternator position does make plug checking a lot easier.(#!!, just remembered the bottom nut is a nasty little devil to get to with downward facing pump, its a slim open spanner or ratchet spanner and engine mount off to access from memory, gloves off, you may skin some knuckles)F9D1E9DB-8DA4-4108-A645-3086BB5A3DA9.jpeg Thinking about removal, reinstall of this pump again, engine was out, From block out, paper 3bolt gasket, plastic spacer, 3 bolt paper gasket ,metal cover plate for spacer smaller 2bolt paper gasket, pump, skipped fact of metal plate above, the pump is still the one it was delivered with new, cleaned and reinstalled.
