1986 R4 for sale

1986 R4 type 112302 850cc engine for sale in Manche (50) France.
Very reliable, starts first time, good interior, chassis good, but bodywork does need some tidying up.
CT (equivalent to MOT) to 13/2/2010.
750 euros or UK equivalent.
We are about an hour from Cherbourg, or the airport at Dinan (the paddy [Ryanair] flies here from East Midlands or Bristol).

Sold on Ebay Uk - to a man in Latvia - seems genuine, he's collecting it next week, only a 2400 km trip each way!

Well - the man from Latvia turned up in an all singing all dancing Honda CRV, and went away quite happy with the R4 after having a poke round the barn and a few laughs over the 4cv / Ami 8 and assorted wheezy cyclemotors / mopeds languishing there.
Not sure how many R4's there are in Latvia, but he knows all about the forum!!

Latvia??? I would bet it will be the first R4 there. You have to be very proud, paulandpat!

Just had an email from the new owner in Latvia, who got home after 3000 kms journey - he said it overheated a bit at over 85kph, but that's not a bad distance in under a week!!

Who said that van on E bay was too far away!:smile:
