From previous experience you'll not get a lot of phonecalls with what you have posted so far - but there are buyers around looking for half decent cars.

French R4 's

We bought our LHD R4TL off ebay.fr but they are also for sale on Leboncoin.fr Still plenty on the roads in France and also plenty in the scrapyards where most people seem to go for spares for all their cars not just R4 's as I beleive new spares are expensive in France ( or so my French neighbours tell me and they bought their last car from the scrapyard and got it through the MOT without too much trouble ).

Interested in either of the cars, but would like to know condition! also leboncoin.fr is brilliant for finding renault 4's in various conditions (my ebay.fr is not available at the moment for 'legal reasons' not quite sure why!)

French ebay are fighting the ruling at the moment but it is an advertising thing
you can get over it by noting the ebay auction number and typing it into ebay UK the item will come up
I get an email everyday with R4 as a favourite listing and if you hover the mouse over the picture it will tell you the number, write it down or remember it and type into UK Ebay box

Good tip there - I was fascinated by an advert for a yard full of R4s, but couldn't see the advert.

Apparently what you need to do on Ebay.fr is go into the tools menu on Internet Explorer, click on internet options, go into languages at the bottom of the page, add french to the list, move it to the top of the list when you go into Ebay.fr and as they say hereabouts:- voila!! - well it worked for me anyway!!

Hello all, I cant believe what i am seeing here !!

I owned this car about 4 years ago.

Its had a fair amount of welding to the floor and had carb troubles but did reach 84mph once.

boot never locked but the rear wings look much better than i remember.

bought it from a guy in london and if you look is in the peoples pics pages on www.renault4.plus.com
