3 year service - Worth it?

Hi,

I own a 1.5 clio DCI and the 3 year service is due on it. I understand that the costs of this service is something like £260 and the question I want to ask is whether the service is worth it or should I take it elsewhere? Also, does anyone else know what the mechanics actually do as part of this service?

Any help on this would be great.

I would find a good independant and let them carry out the work on the car if you don't feel confident to do it yourself.

Although tbh £260 is a fair price and labour rates are as high as £100 an hour in many areas.

The whole trade is in a bit of a crisis

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I found out that a friend of mine (who is a mechanic) services his wife's Clio and that he can do it for £120 so I thought that was a nice option to go with.
