Both piston 1 and 4 are at the top end of their stroke, but as No 1 fires, watch what happens to the valves. Notice the inlet valve opening on cylinder 4.
That is the position when the rotor should be pointing at No 1 lead on the dizzy.
If the inlet valve on cylinder No 1 opens then the rotor should point at No 4 lead on the dizzy cap
