Both piston 1 and 4 are at the top end of their stroke, but as No 1 fires, watch what happens to the valves. Notice the inlet valve opening on cylinder 4.
That is the position when the rotor should be pointing at No 1 lead on the dizzy.

If the inlet valve on cylinder No 1 opens then the rotor should point at No 4 lead on the dizzy cap

Hope this helps people who are setting their timing.

Mojo Baby! -getting somewhat long in the teeth here I read your title as a prediction of own future.
slow leaks,getting even more grumpy and seeing the darkness in the end of the tunnel finally ending
in major stroke..but untill then I'm throwing out the brakes,racing Anyone No matter what and where
changing acc-pedal for a simple on/off-switch... Morbid-Who? ME?? -Reid.
