Now here lies a little mystery.... Or maybe not!?

I've been researching the colour 412 Ile de France for quite a while now. Along the way a fellow French enthusiast kindly prepared a sample exactly matched to his car which he claims is 412.

But it is exactly like the Renault 4cv here which seemingly has the colour number 911 in the boot.

(Also 4cv photo)

(But 911 is listed as 'Shetland Green' - an entirely different green to a turquoise blue)

All the images of 412 on the net are a lighter tone (see bodyshell picture) including the one on this web site.

I love the colour sample i've been given but i'm wanting to lighten it a bit. It goes really well with the yellow of Sweet Pea caravan as you can see.

So..... does anyone have a car in 412 ile de France that I can send a sample to so they can compare for me?

I think 412 is blue as your pictures. There are some more on Google images showing a similar shade. It can appear more green in artificial light so many photos are misleading. The green 4CV is likely 991. If you go to an automotive paint shop they could mix some for you to try. If you are really lucky they might have some 1980s colour swatches.

I cannot remember the paint code but I will have it somewhere.I painted my 4cv 1956 Ile de France and it was darker.006.jpg
