4GTL handbrake cables

Hi,
I can't see how to free the handbrake cables from the plate they pass through. Any ideas? (In the photo I have rasied the holding plate to make it easier to see)

hi, they just knock through but they are tight so give them a good firm belt :-)

Thanks Bobble. I couldn't knock it through, but understanding that it could be knocked out enabled me to pull and twist it free with grips.

i know it took me awhile the first time i did them, i tend to use a piece of dowel and hit that usually does the trick :-)
