hi i've just found this forum whilst seaching for a R4

my names phil and i run a small body and paintshop , restoring air cooled vw's ,american's and customs , down in kent ...

i'm on the look out for a little van for the workshop really and thought what a great van the R4 was , so here i am :), hopefully i'll find one soon :D

Welcome. Do you prefer the F6 van or the shorter and slightly more rounded F4? I think there's one of each in the for sale section of the forum just now.

hi , i prefere the older style F4 and one to restore really , i like a bit of rust repair LOL , i've got my old vw camper up for sale at the moment , so fingers crossed i should be able to start hunting properly soon ....

:D

Best thing to do is pop over the channel for a Lt hand drive one. You're bound to get a reasonable slightly rusty one anywhere from Calais to Paris to Reims. F4's are very rare in Angleterre. Try e-bay france and www.r4-4l.com, and look under 'annonces'. It is a very good site, the french version of 'Clementines', and has a lot of interesting articles and photos of R4's, plus it gets you onto the french ebay renault spares site.

cheers guys :D

i brought my last van , a 1966 american dodge , from down in the poitou charentes , from a couple of photos , lol

:D
