air vent drainage

Can anyone tell me if water gets into the front air vent (the one at the top of the bonnet just below the front windscreen), where are the drainage holes?

If I drive in the rain or even if I wash my car I have a puddle of water at my feet. I'm presuming that its coming in the front vent.

Unfortunately rust has eaten through the floorpan under the rubber mat and I have to stop the leak before I fix the hole.

Alewis is right, it's right in the middle behind the engine.
I attached a photo of the drain and the attached tube.

Thanks Alewis and David, well that puts my one theory to rest, I'll have to investigate a bit further. The water marks are near my brake pedal. I'll let you know my findings.

I used to have a puddle at my feet problem too. It was the windscreen seal. Even though it looked fine it was allowing water in. I put some black silicon sealant in around, kind of just behind the lip. It which worked but Im sure there is a better way.
Just a thought

Thanks Nicky, I checked and it wasn't that.

I did however look at the end of the channel below the windscreen. As you can see from the photos below, the rubber trim on the channel ended a bit short. When I pulled it off I found that the channel lip was flattened out thus letting water run down the corner of the bulkhead and the side.

At a certain point it left the corner and seeped into an opening between the bulkhead and the locating bracket (where the shaft from the brake pedal comes through to the master cylinder)

From there it dripped down behind the floor mat and puddled underneath causing untold damage.

I have now bent the channel wall upwards and extended the rubber trim so that the water flows out the end hole and down into the wheel chamber. Too little too late!

DavidN-----I can see that you've spent a lot of time restoring your car. Very nice job!
