Hello, all
My battery light came on and the cause was soon identified as a snapped alternator belt. My car is 1988 1108 and the alternator belt is behind the drive belt, it seems that i need to remove the drive belt to install the alternator belt, is there a risk in removing the drive belt to timing, crank position etc?
Is it possible to remove the pulley from the waterpump and then slip in the alternator belt behind? Or take the tensioner off and slip off the drive belt?
Thanks in advance
