always the little thing,,, starter solenoid

ok so my spade connecter came loose again yesterday so today i though ill just fix it... so i replaced the spade conector pluged it back in and nothing... it was dark when i refitted it yesterday but im sure the conector ppoint was square like this ]]] but now when i looked at it again it seems to be long and thin like ---- am i looking in the wrong part???

The terminal on the starter will be square, Make sure you plugged it onto the right one, some starter motors have 2 ?
