I'm here in Southwest France, where R4s are not exactly rare. (Not rare enough where R4 drivers give each other a nod or a wave when passing on a road.)
Eighteen years ago when I arrived and looked around for a car to get me around, I decided why buy something that I could drive back home in the US? So I considered my options: 2CV or R4. Since the former at the time was a collectable and consequently expensive, I decided on the R4. (The right choice, as it turns out, although this too has become a collector's item...)
Anyway, I'm in the process of sprucing up the car and having looked through all the posts in the Technical Tips section, I'm sure that I'm in the right place. See you over there...
