Hi,
So I bought two of the rubber end pieces for the antiroll bar. But on the ones that I got, the little metal pipe that the bolt to the lower arm goes through is flush with the rubber. I mean it doesn't protrude a cm or so as the original does. Have I just got the wrong part?
Heres the part i mean as shown in the parts manual. The part i bought is identical except that the metal pipe in the top just lines the hole in the rubber. It doesn't protrude as in the picture.

hi, i guess that there are one with different size of holes, i've also purchased new ones from franzöze but not yet had time to put new ones in.Old ones have a metal band outside rubber, new ones are missing these metal bands so i guess must do those by my self

Think the part was modified as originally there was a bolt that went straight through shocker as well
Later cars have a threaded stud tricky to explain but sure you can find a piece of tube to space it out
Personally I would of reused originals as I am not convinced reproduction rubber parts are going to last very long based on parts bought for more modern cars such as exhaust rubbers and steering gaiters failing by next mot time

Mine are of the type where it's a bolt that goes through shocker. I think a bit of metal sleeve will do the trick. Unfortunately the originals are really badly deformed on the hole that the roll bar goes in so had to be replaced. Thanks.
