Ok, Savanna's tailgate is hanging off because someone removed the pinions and replaced them with very long wood screws. Due to this, one side has dropped down and now starting to rust.

needs welding and good anti rust protection.

You will need to use roll pins to attach hinges after any repairs as used on door hinges
