Hi,
I'm just about to invest in a new battery for my R4F6 (1984). The current battery was lifted from a Twingo I have and is clearly the wrong type and physical size!
I've tried to find info on the battery I need and think its an 048.
Can anyone out there verify this for me?
Thanks in anticipation of any replies.
Regards
John

As long as the battery is 12V and will fit on the battery tray it is OK. In fact, the bigger the better as the higher the capacity the easier the starting especially in cold weather. I run mine with the battery off my old diesel car which is 80AH. It's a tight fit on the battery tray but never fails to get the car going (the car has always been a bit reluctant to start).

I'd agree with Benchseat, if its in there and working I wouldn't be changing it needlessly!

All my cars end up running on 063 Batteries as its one of the most common sizes (I'm sure Twingo uses it) ;)
