Brake adjusting cam - how to dismount?

Hi R4 friends,

have you any idea, how to remote the brake cams? I cleaned it a little. I supposed, there should be a snap ring, but I found a brass washer on the both sides (see the red arrow). The cam is not moving by square head. Have you any idea, how to release and remote? I would like use the cam in an other brake plate.
Many thanks and greetings from cold Prague.
Pavel :)

These are assembled in the factory and are not designed to be removed - in fact, you can't even buy the parts separately. To free them off you need to heat them up with a gas torch, and then dribble some oil on them and gently turn them until they free off.

Some adjusters do not rotate 360 degrees but only 270 degrees as this is all that's required to adjust the shoes. If you try to remove the brass bush and the adjuster then it's possible that you may risk damaging it so be prepared for this.

Anyway, I´m curious to know, how it looks inside. I´ll try to dissect it and than to report ;)
