Buying brake parts for R4

Starting my maintenance journey with brake parts I need to know which of the options available online to order.
It seems I need to know numbers relating to the car. In the absence of access to parts numbers
can anyone advise me on which numbers are important.

Hi Robg

R4s are fitted with Bendix or Girling Brake Systems. There are different types of Brake Pads/Brake Shoes depending on which year/model you have. Take some pictures with the wheels/brake drums off and post on Clementines. Alternatively, email me at christianebeyer@yahoo.co.uk and I can identify types for you.

You've got very little chance of ordering the correct parts buy description and even from the year as a lot of cars had two variants fitted for the same model and and year your best bet is to take some photos with the the brake drum off the rear
the wheel off at the front if it has got disc brakes and the Drum off with dimensions if it has got drum brakes on the front hopefully someone on here will advise with the correct information
