Hi
I've bought a R4 a couple of months back without a V5. I've found an old tax disc which has the reg number A581 PAR. To ask the DVLA for a V5 I need the chassis number but it's very hard to read. I think it reads VF112500E 0013285 but a web search says this is wrong.
The hardest bit to read is the middle numbers so that's where I think the error probably is. Anyone shed any light on the this?

Thanks

Where are you reading it from - if it is the tags under the bonnet then you can also look under the right hand side from treat and it is stamped into the cross member of the floor (square box section).
If you are reading it from there and you have no tags, then try a different combination of middle numbers

I was reading it from the cross member, no oval or diamond plate under the bonnet. The 'different combination of middle numbers' was the help I needed.
Cheers

You can give it a good clean and then place a piece of thin paper over it and rub lightly with a pencil and you should be able
to see the indentations come through ( well it worked on my old R4 pickup ).
