I am sorry about this but I hope you can put up with series of questions from me as I now follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before.
I have a nice OE chrome CIPA door Mirror on the car, in vgc, except for the broken plastic edging that I presume holds the glass in place, which is also in vgc. I need to replace that plastic edging. Is that available anywhere? I know that franzose sell the plastic seating for the mirror to carbody for 4€ ish, but it would be a shame to bin the mirror just for that bit of plastic edging. And expensive. Any help gratefully recieved.

I have refurbishment kits for many Cipa & Geco mirrors. Have a look on the mirror housing to find the reference number.
Yours will probably be either a 54 or a 195, which are basically the same. (They are stainless steel, rather than chrome). However, if it's an after-market one, it may be a 35215, (which is a low quality chrome copy of the above).
