clutch/brake return springs.

Hi all, just wondering if these are really nessesary - my clutch return spring has just broken/or has been broken for a while. Thanks.

After many years, it was only today that I remembered that the clutch return spring actually exists, after noticing a functional one on a customer's R4!
I have been driving for many thousands of kilometers without the clutch pedal spring, as I could not find a replacement when it broke, and haven't noticed any difference...

Mine broke while driving. Clutch felt like butter.

Bought a new one for 10€ on the first junkyard.
