Clutch gone ?

Good afternoon Renault 4 team.
I just went to start my 1985 4 GTL having not used it for a couple of weeks and with the engine running it will not engage in any gear. With the engine not running it engages fine. I am thinking that the clutch has gone. is this right ? If so is it a big job ? It has the 1128 engine.

It could just be a sticking friction plate. If you put the car in gear when the engine isn't running (with the handbrake on), then push the clutch pedal down and start the engine, you might be able to free up the clutch. It's quite a common problem with cars that haven't been used for a while.
