creating a pick-up

Hello from south wales, I am new to you folks and would like some advice.
I fancy changing my '85 GTL into a pick-up, would this be feasable,what would be the best approach and are there any DVLA implications?
If this has been covered before then I appologise in advance.

There was a photo of a pick up on the forums not so long ago, but I've searched and can't find it. I'm sure it was about a month ago so it might be worth a look through the threads..

It would be a lot of weldeing and hard work. Often peole weld the rear tailgate in to form the rear of the cabin. That'll save time, but you might need the lower section of another tailgate for the fold down gate at the back.
