Distributer rotation

Folks,
Can someone please tell me what direction, looking from the top, the GTL distributer rotates in?. Clockwise or anticlockwise?, and is it the same direction as the 845TL?, cos I know the engines run in opposite directions, but do the distributers?.
Thanks,
Alan.

The distributor rotation is always clockwise. The engines do rotate in opposite directions, but the drive gear teeth angle is also opposite between these engines, so dizzy rotation remains the same.

Thanks Angel. I'm going to try to fit a distributer with a vacuum advance/retard, see if I can improve the fuel consumption with more advance at cruising speed.
Alan.

Be aware, you cannot fit a 5-bearing engine distributor to the smaller three bearing engines.
What you can do is search for a '84-'86 845cc distributor (all of them had vacuum advance unit), or maybe one from an R5 845cc engine (some of them also had vacuum advance).

Malcolm had said this wasn't possible, although i do have a 5 bearing distributer here, I wondered if the shaft maybe needed turning down, or perhaps it's just too big?. I'll post a wanted add on the forum.
Thanks,
Alan.

Just found a new one on Ebay France for the 800 engine with the advance diaphragm!.

Hi,
Would you need the 32IF carb with that distributor? Im wondering where one connects the vacuum part on the distributor to.
