Draining my block!

Yes - it's a small bung near the top of the timing case on the near side. You'll need a tight fitting 11mm (or was it 10mm) ring or hexagon spanner as they can be very tight. You may need to poke some wire in the hole to remove some sludge before the water comes out. if there is sludge in the block, there will also be some in the heater so get the hose pipe out. When you flush the heater don't forget to turn the control onto hot!!!

I forgot to say that the rad will need flushing as well. If it's a Spanish car the problems may be caused by the fact that they don't tend to use anti freeze (with corrosion inhibitors) according to my mate who lives out there. Once it's all flushed then you'll be well advised to put anti freeze in it.
