Engine condition

Hi, every body I am new Renault 4 owner, and I need some help. But first to tell you that I am grateful to you for making this site, with out it I would be more confused than I am.
So hire is my first question among many to come: my engine condition is similar to condition of bed engine in “Why oil changes are important” article, and please tell me how to clean that.

Your engine is like this?


There is no easy way to clean an engine in this condition. An engine cleaner will cause the black sludge and dirt to block the oil filter and oil ways.

It is possible to clean the engine by taking it apart and washing each part, but if the engine is still working it is better not to clean the engine, just to keep driving the car, and replace the oil with new oil every 6000 miles.

Unfortunately my engine looks like that; it still can run so I will change oil as you told me.

My friend make me to put engine cleaner liquid, with promise to open and clean my engine if anything goes wrong. Fortunately it went with out any problem and my engine works like I put new one.

One more question were to put fuel filter.(i dont have one)

The fuel filter normally fits on a clip on the top of the engine top cover (rocker cover) just before the carburettor. Anywhere between the fuel pump amd carburettor would work fine.
