Hello everyone, I have just returned from a skiing holiday in France and apparently brought the great weather along with me! The problem is, Felicia doesn't like it one bit and won't start now.
The engine turned over a couple of times, slowly, as if the battery is dead. I don't think I left anything switched on when I left - could it just be the cold weather?
I have brought the battery indoors to warm up; if that doesn't help I'll buy a new one on Monday. Are there any non-battery parts I should check?

Mine is normally starting at -12 degrees. It's should start normally, I would blame the battery. Charge it and then retry.

Hi

Same last year for me - worn batteries lose their capacity and the cold compounds it.

Incidently, I bought a portable battery pack from Maplins (£30ish) about the same time. Has a usb and cigar lighter socket so along with peace of mind I can charge my iphone and power a sat nav on the move. I'll get around to fitting a permanant power socket sometime! oh, and it also has an electric tyre pump! Useful piece of kit :o

Weather report

It is now snowing in London.

No problem since we have the highest number of 4x4s per capita of in Western Europe ;)

i got out of london in time then today

and yea, cold, wrap her up warm and leave her till its warm like i'm going to have to do with the 96 because dad put a sport carb on and its getting no warm air.

Hi Tom, all you need to do is simply charge your battery, I'm sure this will do the trick, and then just go for a nice drive around the Bath area, and your 4L will be back to its old form. Regards Brian.
