Fancy carbs

I have been wondering 2what would be a good alternative carb to fit to my R1123 with the 845cc ventoux engine, particularly since I might fit a slightly warmer cam and a freer manifold. In the past i had a 4cv that I rebuilt with a dauphine gardini engine and that was most fine except the 32mm carb was very old and worn and it was hard to get parts.
Rather than fit the usual solex/zenith carbs I was considering a weber 32 like a 32 IBP from a Peugeot 104 or a weber 32 from a small UK ford engine- both have accelerator pumps- something I miss- so might be good.

Does anyone have any experience on these carbs?

My main concern when fitting a non standard carburettor would be sourcing the necessary bits for calibrating it to an R4 engine. You may need the odd acceleration pump jet, or emulsion tube that is unobtainable, and end with an engine that performs worse than stock.
Have you looked at the Dellorto FZD? It's essentially a single throat DHLA. It will need some fabrication to be fitted, as it's semi-sidedraft, but it shares all of its calibration bits with the very popular DHLA models.
