I am a London-based photographer moving into the specific field of fashion photography and am setting up three location-based shoots to launch my portfolio.
One of the shoots, on Saturday 18 September in Wapping, has a period French 1960s theme and I am very keen for the ‘story’ to be centred around a Renault 4.
I would be really happy if any of you owners would like to offer your car (and you) for this day, the main proviso being that I am running the shoot on what is called ‘Time-for-Print’, which means that the model, make-up artist and other members of my small team are working in return for prints or a CD of the shoot for their own portfolios. I would obviously be able to do the same with regards photographs from the shoot featuring your car. I would emphasise that this is a personal project intended to ultimately build my career and as such it is entirely self-financed. Neither the shoot nor the results will carry any commercial gain for me or anyone else involved.
I will, however, be able to pay travel expenses within the M25 area as well as a £10 allowance towards lunch. An hour’s lunch break will be scheduled into the day, which would run from approximately 0830 – 1900.
With regards the car itself an earlier or mid-production model might be best; condition is unimportant but the colour may well be as the Fashion Stylist is already working on the clothes! There may be three or four sub-locations within Wapping but these would all be within a mile of each other; beyond this the car will not need to be mobile.
