Here's one to run by you guys; when I do any prolonged braking, especially if downhill the oil and high temp warning lights come on momentarily and at exactly the same time. I'm sure it's an electrical fault, anybody come across it before? Also, a slight misfire has developed; I'm sure it's electrical as well and wonder if the two probs could be linked??

I had those lights coming on when I'd forgotten to refit the earth lead from the engine (alternator fixing) to the bolt at the front of the RH inner wing. Check the connections for that earth are nice and clean.

Unlikely to be the cause of the missfire as the coil earths to engine, and if the positive and earth connections on the engine are no good the starter won't turn. Probably wants the points cleaning and setting. Going to suggest HT leads in this weather, but then you don't get this weather over there.

I shall check it out first thing Clementine, many thanks. As to the weather here, it's cold and it's raining! But not for long, going to be very sunny christmas day for skiing in the Nevadas! Can't wait! We also get below zero here and it sometimes gets very damp!
