Fitting new window rubber

Before I make a complete bauble of what looks a straightforward job.........
Are there any wise men ( or ladies ) out there who have fitted new window rubber ( to plastic frame, but not sure if that is important ) to a front door widow.
That return angle looks quite tight for a rubber section which obviously has some metal strip running through it. I have done the vertical strip of rubber/ felt on the fixed section of glass and even that isn't looking over happy where it curves.
Heat it, stretch it or just go for it ???

Metal armouring in such window channels is quite flexible and allows the channel to follow curves without it kinking. You can gently tap it into place with a mallet at curves. Also make sure it's fully in on all four corners before cutting it to final length. The ends should butt firmly against each other.

Thanks both for guidance.
Job done. My tips for anybody else doing this - start at the back end and work round the two 90 degree corners first, then fit sliding window to make sure it will seat properly and that the lock locates. Fit window into door frame and then mark final cuts.

Does that mean that once marked, you take it out again to cut, so you dont damage the paint or frame, or what. I am to do this soon so this is very useful for me. Thanks

I took it out again, found cutting the drainage holes was the biggest pfaff. Didn't seem to have a decent 'tool'

thank you for that. It would be great if we had been closer. Mine are the metal type front windows, so we shall see.
