For sale is our classic yellow B reg 1984 Renault 4 Gtl ,Right hand drive UK registered car with approx. 78.000 miles, MOT till 8/5/09 and taxed till 30/4/09. The car has a factory fitted sun-roof and the exterior bodywork/panels are in very presentable and undamaged condition. Both the front and rear wings were replaced some time ago although the colour match on the partial respray was not quite exact. The underside and chassis are in very good original condition so far as I can tell and there is no evidence of patches or welding anywhere. There is a very small amount of corrosion on the top of the inner wing edges and two areas of corrosion on the rear floor (non structural) inboard of the rear door openings which have been previously treated with underseal (see photographs). This little classic car is used daily and was bought for my wife last May , however, she now must have a larger car for a new car sharing arrangement. Since we have owned the car we have fitted a new starter motor, engine/gearbox mountings, clutch cable, brake pads, brake master cylinder, renewed both bottom balljoints, replaced o/s front wheel bearings, n/s driveshaft, gearbox oil seals, and the heater matrix control valve. The interior upholstery is in very good condition and the all the tyres are excellent. We have been improving the car but it should be remembered that our Renault 4 is 24 years old, but in good condition for her age, and we bought her realising that she is a work in progress situation. All parts are readily available still through Renault and elsewhere for this much loved useable French classic. We have also collected together some new spares and they are included in the sale, although not needed - front brake discs, water pump, upper balljoint, steering track rod joints, exhaust parts and fan belts. This is a reluctant sale but needs must and I have tried the be fair and honest in my description. Please pm if further information is required or to arrange viewing.
