Its now totally rebuilt for my sons first car and he loves it but he wants me to add paint splodges to make it look funky:eek:
I have revised the interior too when its finished i will post it

Could you not find any chromed spinning hubcaps? :D Not a fan of the black bumpers either - they make it look high, but the bodywork looks fabulous. Nice and straight and the paint looks great.

I hadn't realised you were restoring one. Any work needed on the chassis or one of those dry French ones we all dream about? What are the plans for the interior?

Bumpers were my sons choice, bless him hes only 17 at least he wanted one..
As a citroen fan I have 3 various 2CVs including a very nice AZ400 he did nt want any of those.
6 wings replaced, took body off chassis, chassis perfect but had small hole in floor of body where front support arm meets floor pan. New do rubbers courtesy of angel
NEW Brakes, shockabsorbers, new bearing pairs all round, decoke engine new gaskets, new carb, petrol and water pump, HT leads coil and distributor cap.
The interior; Is in dark green cloth new door panels and I have made extra panels at the rear to fill in above rear wheel archs and up round c post rear windows as well as rear tailgate also I have tucked in thickened material down B posts into the folded edges? looks good too, also added a rear parcel shelf
I am looking for a couple of decent front seats out of a renault 5 or something sporty its taken me a year in time but I have to keep dashing off to the states on a long murder case so its probably 2months work in real time

Heres one of the interior so far its going to have grey carpet
I think I have fractured a bone in my hand though while in the back I steadied myself using the sprung tail gate arm and the tailgate closed crushing my hand sideways in the scissors arms ho hum joys of restoration

Yippee it passed its CT this morning with only ONE little problem on the "sans obligatoire" side (just a non urgent item)
I dont know what the official name for them is other than stabilising bars in French they are "barre de tirant" the little bars that go from the bottom ball joint to the chassis, there was excess movement in them both;
I have a couple of questions but will ask in tech sec:roll:
