Fuel Pumps: Lefthand drive Righthand Drive?

Hi there,

Does anyone know if the fuel pumps are the same for both lefthand drive and righthand drive R4's. The reason for the question is my R4 van is a lefthooker, I recently bought a pump from UK ebay and the pipe on the side of the fuel pump is on the opposite side to the one in the car and would be rather close to one of the engine mounts if I install it.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Sorry I double listed the question, dont know how that happened. :)

pumps are different due to steering column/rack hitting pump

Right hand drive pumps mount downwards to clear which should still work on left hand drive car. Will need pipes re-routing

hi everybody i am supposed to be on holiday relaxing here in tenerife
(spotted 2 f6 and 1 f4 van no cars yet ),escaped to internet cafe to avoid sunburn
racking my brains further back in time i think rhd pumps have different operating lever poss pushrod? in order to mount pump low enough to clear steering, think LHD type is standard lever arm
will also warn against fitting non genuine parts as most pattern ones tend to leak oil after a short period of use
if it says sofabex it should be ok but check operating lever type 1st
