Hi R4GTL 1986. Which fuse controles the heater blower and what else does it control? The switch is stuck on and I want to disable it untill get a replacement. The switch contacts are soldered and there seems to be a resistor coil on it. Is that for variable speed or is it single speed, on and off?

From memory I think the fan is two speed.

I think on the dual speed switch the wire going through the centre of the resistance coil acts as a fuse. Certainly in mine the wire melted when the fan got jammed.
If you can't identify the other end of the wire, maybe you could disable it by taking the switch to bits. Who knows, you might find out why it got stuck on at the same time.
