Gearbox mount

Hi all,
As a beginner in this forum and to owning a R4 (GTL), and I don't have a lot of experience under bonnets, please bare with me. Our R4 is pretty good generally, with mot, but needing work doing to get another. A local garage quoted a huge price for a few repairs, so I want to try to do as much work as possible myself.
First on the list is the gearbox mount, which is broken, and the shaking has also broken a couple of exhaust mounts. Is changing the gearbox mount straightforward? And how do I do this? I've taken the cover off, and can see it clearly, but want to know if I can change it simply by supporting the engine/gearbox block and sliding in the new one, or if there is more to it than that. And is a renault dealership the best place to get parts?
Thanks

Most work on your R4 is pretty straightforward. What you see is what you get. The gearboxmount is nothing more complicated than what it looks like. Just support the gearbox with a few wooden blocks, unbolt the mount, get a new mount, put it in the same way you got the old one out. You may want to bolt on the new mount with a little bit of coppergrease in the boltholes, so the bolts will not corrode and get stuck (or does coppergrease cause electrolitic corrosion in aluminium?, anyone?).

The exhaustbrackets are of the same kind, just a nut on top of a bolt. You can probably unbolt them from inside the car, those mounts just stick through the floor with a nut on them.

Just do it yourself, working on a car (especially an R4) isn't scary, just start with it and you'll figure out what you got to do.

I always get parts from local traders in R4 parts. Don't know what that's like in England though. Doesn't matter where you get them from. Ebay is said to be a good source too.

Yep, I go along with that.
You should get all the parts you need from Lifestyle Renault (see this web site), maybe even from your local motor factor?
