Gordini wheels on a 4GTL - nuts

I have a set of R5 Gordini alloy wheels waiting to go on my R4 GTL. If I machine my wheel nuts to the required 45 degs taper, can I still use them with the original wheels? (We seem to get a lot of snow now here in SW France, so I'd like to switch wheels in winter).
Alternatively, does anyone have a set of 45 deg wheel nuts for sale?

Regards from Perigord,
Iain

You'll need two sets of wheel nuts. I think quad bikes use the same size thread wheel nuts as ours.

yes I used a set of quad bike nuts(ebay), took them to a local machine shop who cut them down for me- works out about £3 per nut, cheaper than the ones for sale in france (top retro)

the original r5 type nuts are often on le bon coin, I do have some but in a bit rough condition if you are stuck.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Very helpful, all.
In the event I got a set from Top Retro in the Jura.
A bit pricey, but excellent quality and delivered within 36hrs.
