Keep your daughters locked up today and tomorrow because we are having a weekend of wood and you know what they say, if a peckers got wood............ collect it, split it and stack it (traditional french style).

The F6 & Land Rover are being stacked to the gunnels each time before journeying 23 miles back home. Our winter supplies are drying up!

Its amazing how much the renault can carry. I could have kept pileing it in too, but i was sensible.

I forgot to say Quote " The worlds most versatile wheel-barrow"

.

How come the LandRover wasn't loaded to the gunnells inside too?

It had a wheel barrow inside + many other tools, straps and saws, but it did have wood inside just not as much. More pics coming of the second trip.

Our very good friend Martin bought his ferguson TED 20 over to give it a run. It is its first day out of the workshop since restoration (99% complete).

And it performed to a T. It only used 3 gallons of Vaporising oil. I was incharge of stacking after it was split.

I feel stiff today...

So there is one more half load to collect tonight and about half a days splitting still to be done. We swapped over and i started stacking, I built a lovley pile and as i walked away to get a trolly i heard the sound of logs rolling and as i looked around half of it collapsed. I took a big sigh and decided to call it a day. Wee have been going since 9am to 6pm both saturday and sunday and now we ache.

There are two more big trees to come down still, so Ian i might bring you some wood down as you are no doubt running out
