Greetings from Denmark

Hello everybody and thank you for a great forum. I have been reading almost all of your posts with great pleasure and admiration of the excelent work you all have done.

I do not (yet) have a classic Renault but I was brought up with R4 and R6 before my parents moved on to Talbot and eventually Peugeot, in the 80's Renault and Talbot was not imported to Denmark for a while, and lost great marked share.

Pre 90's Renault's are getting realy rare here in Denmark, but I'm keen on getting a mk1 R5, when I eventually find one for sale.

By strange coincidence, I have just come back from a few days in Copenhagen, and actually saw a white R4 in Christianshavn, parked near one of the canals.
Most of the rest of the traffic was modern, however, I did spot a couple of Volvo 140's, which are getting quite rare now, a rather scruffy Saab 96 and a Fiat 500 in brilliant condition, seen one evening close to the centre of the city.
Other than that it was the usual north European streetscape.
Wonderful city, however, which I can recommend to anyone looking for a break for a few days.

Incidently I was in Copenhagen three weeks ago and infact in Christianhavn saw a light blue Saab 96 estate. We do have a lot of Swedish cars in Denmark they are quet common. At the moment there is only one R4 for sale in Denmark priced at 3500 british pounds, a white 1971.
