Handbrake cable bracket

Morning everybody ----- I need to remove the handbrake bracket from my 1990 4L . What is the easy way to release the cables at this end or can this not be done in situ ------ as you can see in the photo I have the dual cable system

Just need to push it out!
With screwdriver or small pliers!
I have done it that way.
It is hard to push it out!
