Ok I live high in the Troodos mountains in Cyprus and have found an exelent R4 with an 850 engine which will not cope with the driving needed to stay alive here ( they are maniacs) I have also found a tidy R4 van which I am told is a 1300 ???..........Now, can I take the body off the 850 saloon and put it onto the 1300 van chassis ? It will give me the chance to check the chassis out and do any welding if it is needed and might be easier than changing the engines over ? Any answers to this will be appreciated even if you do think I am mad o_O

Andy, you need to have a look at the type of the van. The R4F4 has the "shorter" chassis of the saloon, the R4F6 has a longer chassis, your saloon body will not fit it. It would probably be easier to transplant the engine from the van over to the saloon.

Bertl is right about the F6 chassis but if you change the engines you will need the g/box and radiator some brackets off the inner wings and the bonnet, also the engine should be 1100.
Good luck

Why not just drive the van
well I would but I need more than 2 seats and the bureaucracy in Cyprus in changing the "use" of the vehicle by adding seats and I suppose a window or two in the side is prohibitive....then there would be seat belt laws etc etc so it's not feasible here unfortunatly
