Yes a stupid law we had before everyone else that headlight needed a cleaner system (guess all cars have it now).
The intention with the law was correct, but the technology to clean was crap, and only worked when new and weather was good. These add on stuff never come up in par quality wise to the cars (first thing to fail on the car).
911s came with a high pressure pump 1974 and was the first (what I know of) headlight cleaner that coped with Swedish conditions.
All window wiper style cleaning devices was doomed when they got stuck frozen in ice or hard snow. If they survived that the salt on the roads made them corrode.

But I guess it a must on a dresser.
