Heavy Oil

Hello i have just brought a Renault Kangoo 02/ 665 1.9D
and i have just got my log book back and it says type of fuel
Heavy oil can you clear this up for me is this Normal diesel .
Sorry if this is a silly question but it's my first diesel thanks for any help on this subject.

It's just another name for diesel.

I find the term confusing - there are all sorts of other heavy oils (that don't come out of garage pumps - crude for example) that would be bad to put in a diesel. Maybe it's an international terminology.

Thanks very much for your reply so plain old Diesel from the pump is ok?
P.S do all logbooks say the same thing heavy oil?

Yes plain old diesel is the stuff. The term "heavy oil" seems to be used a lot inside the motor industry. I guess the term sometimes leaks out into handbooks to confuse everyone else.
