Hello I'm new on here and contemplating ardently the purchase of an R4GTL in the vain hope it will be capable of towing my little caravan restored last year. Its a very cute Eriba Puck 1968 weighing 500kw.

We call the caravan Sweet Pea. its very narrow and low with the turret down, so I expect pretty aerodaynamic behind an R4.

So if anyone has any experience or advice I'd love to hear... Or if you have a RHD late date R4GTL for sale?

Just that I have seen loads here in France towing these little Pucks. Same with the 2CV crowd, if a 602cc engine can tow one then the 1100 GTL will do easily. We are contemplating one in the future and have seen loads of them tucked away in Barns. But no one will sell one to us :(

They are very popular here due to the less than 750Kg category... no need for the extra license.

At the 4L International there were a bunch of these caravans, you should have no trouble towing one behind an R4. It won't be fast, but that ain't why you buy a Quatrelle is it?

Thank you I'm so pleased with your responses! Was worried for a moment I would get all attached to the idea, then buy a car without knowing... Now I do!

If anyone wants info on an Eriba Puck... what to look for and how to renovate I can answer most questions. There is of course a forum in the UK and I guess abroad for these caravans too.
