Hi,
After nearly 10 years in my parent's garage I just got my beloved F6 back on the road... And the engine seized 10 miles from finishing the 120 mile trip home :(

It was basically a cardiac arrest, the oil pump inlet was caked, so new big end shells, new oil pump and some fine grade wet and dry crank action seems to have brought it back to life!

Next step is some new wings... I've seen the recommended suppliers on here, but does anybody have any thoughts on wings? For instance are the pattern parts any good? Also the F6 has the side indicator flashers... Is it just a case of buying a standard wing and boring holes in the right place to re-fit them?

(Does anyone happen to have a couple of wings laying about?!!)

On another note, I'm very impressed with the wealth of knowledge on here and pleased to see that It's not just me that loves these funny little cars.

Pattern wings are ok, I got one from Melun Retro Passion. They did need a bit of fiddling to fit but fit quite nicely once they are on. You will need to drill holes for the indicators though.

You should be able to source wings through any decent motorfactor here as well.

And +1 on pictures!!

I would advise removing the wings before ordering to see how bad the top edge of the inner wings are.

new oil pump

Hi,

**Hi where did y get a new oil pump and for which engine? I looked new oil pumps from Franzöze but there were none available for my 845cm3 engine?

I bought one front wing, N/S from a company in Doncaster and it cost £52 I got my O/S front wing from Der Franzose and it was 39.90 Euro but the postage was about 30 Euro, I also bought some odds and ends, still it was delivered within three days!

Crumbs, this is a very late reply... Sorry!
I sourced the oil pump through a company called KARengine in devon (for 1108cc).
