Help! Recognise this part?

Hey everyone!
New to the forum and owning an R4, apologies if I’ve out this in the wrong place...

does anyone recognise this part and if it belongs to an R4?

driving down the road yesterday and heard a clattering of metal. Stopped the car immediately and discovered the part on the road. Not sure if it’s just something the wheel kicked up from the road, or whether it had fallen off the car first...
Any ideas?

It's a shim for setting the height of the steering rack.
