well from you have said, i assume that the battery is good and the engine is turning over ok. but below is some good advice first.
i am not sure how you are testing for a spark, as this vehicls do not have have old fashon type ht leads if you are checking this at the plug in block on your pencil coil you will blow your management computer if you have not done so already.
you need a special meeter as well or an old type again will blow the computer.
best not to play around with this type of old fashioned testing
But i am very sure your fault is the tdc sensor, these corrode internaly, it is not repaireable.( do not try and repair do not use one off another vehicle you must use genunie part, this is very important due to the timing of the vehicle and how it pick up the pulses from the flywheel)
if you replace this which i think you should also replace the short conecting loom.( donot fit one with out the other or you are wasting your time)
when fitting the new unit becare not to drop the 2 fixing bolts into the clutch housing or it is g/box out.
you must refit the same bolt in the same place as these effect the timing, do not replace with any other type of bolt you must use the originals.
I know this as this fault is common, plus make sure you stat housing has not got a small leak this also makes the tdc sensor fail.
good luck with this and take your time when changeing do not rush.
