HELP! wiring for temp gauge

That's easy. There should be four terminals at the back of the gauge. One should be (+) or B maybe, it's the live feed and should be connected to a switched +12V feed (on when key is turned). Other should read (-) or GND, its the ground and should be connected to a good earth. Another one is the illumination bulb feed, it's obvious which one is it, and should be connected in parallel with the instrument panel illumination bulb, or, depending on your R4's model year, there may be a spare sidelight output directly from the light switch, and you can use this instead. The last one is marked T or TERM and should be connected to the temperature sensor. Use the sensor provided with the gauge in place of the original warning light sensor.
